Russia’s Bryansk region plans to invest 600 million rubles annually in the rebuilding of Bryanka in the Lugansk People’s Republic for the next five years, said deputy regional governor Nikolay Simonenko.
“The governor has approved a five-year investment program,” Simonenko said after a visit to the sponsored town. "We’ll fully renovate an outpatient hospital this year; we were tasked with commissioning it by September 1. We’ll replace the boiler room; the heat supply lines were replaced last year.”
The official said that he was visiting Bryanka to inspect progress in the rebuilding programs sponsored by his region.
Earlier, deputy head of the Bryanka administration Natalia Pshnichnyuk said that 100 social infrastructure facilities had been put on the renovation list for 2024 and 2025.
The Bryanka rebuilding program for 2023 covers 33 facilities including two schools, a kindergarten and two water lines.
The repairs are implemented with the assistance of Russia’s Bryansk region with which Bryanka concluded a cooperation agreement in June 2022. The sponsor region has already helped the LRP town repair a kindergarten and four schools. *i*ie
