The Moscow Education and Science Department passed 1,500 pieces of equipment to Lugansk schools and kindergartens in 2022, Lugansk mayor Manolis Pilavov said in the report on the City Hall’s work last year.    “Thanks to close cooperation and direct contacts with the Moscow Education Department, more than 1,500 pieces of equipment were delivered to Lugansk schools and kindergartens, including computer kits, furniture, textile products, game and sport accessories and stage costumes and supplies,” Pilavov said.   The Moscow Education Department also sent 124,000 training aids to LPR schools and kindergartens including 41,000 for children with general diseases and intellectual disability.   In 2022, seven Lugansk schools received school buses as part of humanitarian assistance.   On June 3, 2022, Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin and Lugansk administration head Manolis Pilavov signed a joint declaration on establishing twin city ties between the capitals of Russia and the LPR.   The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
