The 143rd humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered foodstuffs and medications to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.

“On Wednesday, June 8, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the report said. “Seven EMERCOM trucks have brought some 15 tons of medications and about 25 tons of food.”

“The cargo includes three truckloads of medical equipment, construction materials and water massing some 60 tons which Bashkortostan sent to Krasny Luch in targeted assistance,” the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.

On June 7, EMERCOM’s 142nd convoy delivered foodstuffs, essentials and medications to Lugansk.

Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The members of the Contact Group on conflict settlement have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*t
