The 123rd humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered food and essentials to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
“On Friday, April 8, EMERCOM trucks delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the report said. “The convoy of six trucks and one accompanying vehicle have brought food and essentials.”
“The relief supplies were delivered in full conformity with the requirements and norms of international laws; no contingencies occurred in transit,” the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.
On April 6, the 122nd humanitarian aid convoy delivered food and essentials to Lugansk.
Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The members of the Contact Group have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large calibre artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *t
