The 166th humanitarian convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered 10 tons of water and 14 tons of cables for overhead power lines to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
“On Tuesday, July 12, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered 10 tons of water and 14 tons of uninsulated cables for overhead power lines to Lugansk,” the press service said. “Seventeen EMERCOM trucks and an accompanying vehicle have brought medical supplies and foodstuffs.”
On July 9, EMERCOM’s 165th humanitarian aid convoy delivered 50 tons of food to Lugansk.
Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The members of the Contact Group on conflict settlement have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *t
