Russia’s special military operation which was provoked by Kiev crimes is not a war against the Ukrainian people, First Deputy Head of the Kremlin administration Sergey Kiriyenko said at the August Pedagogical Conference in Lugansk.
“The special military operation is not a war of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and Russia against Ukraine,” Kiriyenko said. “Of course, we are not fighting Ukraine, certainly not Ukrainians.”
“Regrettably, as a result of the crimes by the present-day Ukrainian leadership, they gave away their country as a test field (of the fight) against everything Russian. Against Russia, the Russian language, Russian culture and every individual who simply defends their right to be Russian,” the Kremlin official said.
He said that Russia is paying special attention to shaping the world outlook of young people.
“This struggle in military confrontation will come to an end, but from the ideological viewpoint, the fight for the minds of future generations will go on,” he said adding that there is nothing more important than educating the younger generation.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Earlier, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance. On July 3, the LPR militia and Russian armed forces fully liberated the LPR territory from Ukrainian armed formations.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The Donbass peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*ie
