Wildfires destroyed 280 ha of vegetation in the LPR over 24 hours, the LPR Ministry of Emergencies said.
"63 wildfires were registered, 53 of them in the ecosystem, affecting the total of 282.7 ha. There were no casualties or victims, five blazes caused public concern," the statement reads.
LPR Emergencies Ministry reminded that making fires in forests and steppes was prohibited during the fire hazard period. Leaving glass bottles or fragments in forest and steppe areas is also prohibited, as glass can act as a magnifying lens to start a fire. *t
