Lugansk People’s Republic farmers are expected to gather as much grain as last year, said LPR Agriculture and Food Minister Yevgeny Sorokin.   The harvesting campaign in the Republic is in full swing. Agribusinesses will gather crops on an area of more than 270,000 hectares this season, Sorokin said.   “Soil moisture has a good effect on winter crops condition, so the yield might be 7 to 10 percent higher,” he said.   Availability of agricultural equipment reaches over 85 percent in the LPR. More than 9,000 pieces of agricultural machinery are in use, including the equipment leased through “Roasagroleasing, the official said.   “We’re in talks with major agricultural machinery dealers over their operation and provision of maintenance and repairs here in the Republic,” Sorokin said adding that farmers had enough fuel and lubricants.   On Tuesday, LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik announced the beginning of harvesting campaign in the Republic.*i*v
