Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik has thanked the Russian Military-Historical Society (RVIO) for restoring two monuments in the Republic in “record time.”
“I took part in the conference which summed up RVIO’s work this year and announced plants for 2023,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram. “I thanked the RVIO administration for the tremendous work carried out in the LPR territory. In record time, RVIO specialists restored two sacred places in Donbass: the “Unconquered” memorial complex in Krasnodon and Prince Igor monument near Stanitsa Luganskaya.”
The LPR’s cooperation with the Russian Military-Historical Society is aimed at preserving and defending the history of the great country. “We mustn’t stop,” Pasechnik said.
“Separately, I want to offer my best wishes to the RVIO members for the upcoming 10th anniversary of the establishment of the organization which was preceded by the Imperial Russian Military-Historical Society founded in 1907. Your work to perpetuate the historic sites across Russia and beyond is tremendous, honorable and important,” Pasechnik said.
Marina Filippova, an aide to the LPR leader heads the LPR branch of the Russian Military-Historical Society. Pasechnik heads the Guardian Council of RVIO’s LPR branch.
Russian Military-Historical Society is a public scientific body with the mission to form all-Russian historical culture through the objective study, coverage and promotion of domestic and world history, and preserve national memory and cultural heritage.
