The welfare of Russian citizens has been increasing despite the pressure caused by sanctions, a deputy speaker of the Lugansk People’s Republic parliament said in comments on President Vladimir Putin’s combined Direct Line question and answer session and end-of-year press conference.
“The population’s real incomes was among the important questions that were broached,” the parliamentarian said. “As our President stated, incomes grew by 8.5 percent over the past year.”“Of course, there are occasional problems in regions but given the wave of sanctions against the country, we can only say that we have not fallen into the abyss; we didn’t just survive: we are beginning to slowly develop,” he said. With the growth of the Gross Domestic Product, every Russian will feel their income grow. It depends on many factors such as the sphere a person works in and their professionalism. Nevertheless, the onward movement of all the country is visible. “Together, we’ll certainly make it,” the parliamentarian said.*i
