A civilian has been killed and another one has been wounded in a Ukrainian artillery attack at the Novoaidar settlement, the Lugansk People’s Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.
On Wednesday morning, Kiev forces fired an American high mobility artillery rocket system at Novoaidar.
“A 28-year-old civilian was killed and another was wounded as the enemy fired an American M142 HIMARS at Novoaidar (overall, ten M31 GMLRS missiles were expended),” the JCCC said.
The artillery strike also destroyed a home, a teaching block and dormitory of the local agriculture college, a granary, a fertilizer and agricultural machinery warehouse, eight pieces of agricultural machinery, two cars and a truck, and damaged four homes.
On September 20, Kiev forces shelled the territory in the LPR responsibility zone three times.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.*i*ie
