Workers supported by the “Single Customer in the Field of Construction” have restored more than 3.5 million square meters of housing in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics in the first three quarters of this year, said the press service of the state-owned company.
“In the LPR, specialists fully repaired 185 apartment houses with a total area of 990,000 square meters, and in the DPR, 714 buildings with an area of 2.6 million square meters were restored,” the press service said.
A majority of the rebuilding projects were implemented in Mariupol, Volnovakha and Severodonetsk, the company said.
Large-scale construction is underway in Makeyevka, Krasny Luch, Starobelsk and other towns in Donbass. Insulation works have been completed on 2,200 homes thanks to which heat was supplied to more than 300,000 people, said the “Single Customer.”
Construction workers managed to rebuild some 400 severely damaged facilities.
The Russian Construction Ministry coordinates the rebuilding of civil infrastructure in the new regions. The “Single Customer” and contactor organizations have a 25,000-strong workforce which includes local residents and specialist from other Russian regions. *i*sb
