The work to build the first waste recycling facility in the Lugansk People’s Republic will be launched in 2024, said LPR government deputy chairperson Yelena Kostenko.
“Project development will be funded under the economic development program,” the LPR government press service quoted Kostenko as saying.
The recycling plant will be built near Lugansk.
Russian Environmental Operator Director General Denis Butsayev earlier announced three tentative locations for waste recycling plants in the LPR with a total capacity of 700,000 tons a year.
LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said that the Republic would receive 57 garbage trucks and some 2,000 containers as part of the federal project in 2023. *i*ie
