Lugansk enterprises and organizations increased their capital investments two-fold to 3,5 billion rubles in 2021 year-on-year, city administration head Manolis Pilavov said as he delivered an annual progress report.

“Capital investment in 2021 doubled to 3.5 billion rubles,” Pilavov said adding that 46 percent of the funds had been spent on buying or upgrading machinery and equipment.

Investments in civil engineering grew to 28 percent, he said.

In 2022, processing industry companies plan to invest some 159 million rubles in the acquisition of basic asses and production equipment modernization, the Lugansk administration head said.

City Hall Economic Department Director Igor Gursky earlier reported that Lugansk enterprises and organizations increased their capital investment by 1.3 times to some 790 million rubles in the first half of 2021 year-on-year. *i*r
