Kiev forces artillery strikes have destroyed a home in Svatovo and damaged a gas pipe, said the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC).
The enemy fired four 155mm artillery rounds at Svatovo at 00:05, the JCCC said. “The strike at the town of Svatovo <...> destroyed a house and damaged a medium pressure gas pipe.”
Svatovo was shelled twice over the past weekend. One house was destroyed, and another was damaged in shelling. Damage was also caused to a special boarding school.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
