Kiev forces damage or destroy 145 homes, 37 infrastructure facilities in LPR in January - JCCC
Kiev forces have damaged or destroyed 145 homes and 37 infrastructure facilities in the Lugansk People’s Republic in January, said the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).
“(In January), Ukrainian forces damaged or destroyed 145 houses and 37 civil infrastructure facilities including four medical centers and five education institutions,” the JCCC said.
In December 2022, more than 140 homes and civil infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed in Kiev artillery attacks on the LPR, according to the Office of LPR ombudsperson Viktoria Serdyukova.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
