The Krasnodonskoye division of the Vostokugol Republican Fuel Company has produced one million tons of coal since the beginning of this year, the state-owned enterprise reported.
“The Krasnodonskoye coalminers have produced one million tons of coal since the beginning of 2021,” the report said.
The company operates seven coal faces in four collieries. Two coal faces were launched at the Nikolai Barakov and Molodogvardeiskaya mines earlier this year.
“Today’s success is a stimulus for further achievements and the credit for the current production benchmark goes to all personnel,” Krasnodonskoye director Yuri Kryzhanovsky said. “Every ton produced today is a token of wages and stability. My heartiest congratulations to the workers on the production of one million tons of coal. I wish you robust health and new labor achievements. I’m confident that our miners will work as effectively in the future.”
On August 9, 2021, Vostokugol reported that it had produced four million dons of coal since the beginning of this year.
Lugansk People’s Republic government chairman Sergey Kozlov said that the restructuring of the Republic’s coal industry and the establishment of the Vostokugol state-owned enterprise had helped to double the number of newly launched coal faces and boost production by 2.5 times. In 2021, Vostokugol plans to produce more than 10 million tons of coal cutting some 40 kilometers of tunnels in rock. LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik who set the main guidelines for coal industry restructuring, said that Vostokugol would become the locomotive for the Republic’s economy. *i*r
