Farmers in the Lugansk People’s Republic have sown more than 203,000 hectares of winter crops for harvest 2023, LPR Food and Agriculture Minister Yevgeny Sorokin said at a briefing at the Government House.
“Winter wheat was sown on an area of 200,000 hectares which fully ensures the Republic’s food security,” Sorokin said.
Former LPR Food and Agriculture Minister Yury Pronko earlier said that the complete liberation of the territory of the Republic expanded its farmland by one million hectares.
In 2022, the LPR’s early cereal and leguminous crops harvest topped 1.1 million tons for the first time since the establishment of the Republic.*i*ie
