LPR Health Ministry plans preventive medical examination of 160,000 children
The Lugansk People’s Republic Healthcare Ministry plans to carry out preventive medical examination of more than 160,000 children pursuant to the instruction by Russian President Vladimir Putin, LPR Healthcare Minister Natalia Paschenko said at a press briefing.
Earlier, the Russian president ordered to carry out complete medical examination of children between ages 2 and 17.
“The checkup covers the children aged 2 to 17 whose number in the Lugansk People's Republic reaches over 160,000,” Paschenko said adding that LPR medics planned to complete well-child checkups by May 2023.
“The Russian government has allocated additional funds to provide equipment for ultrasonic diagnostics and electrocardiography and special purpose vehicles,” she said.
In addition to the teams formed in the LPR, specialists from other Russian regions will help to carry out medical checkups.
“Thorough medical examination involves specialized teams that include cardiologists, pediatric gynecologists, otolaryngologists and ophaophthalmologists. We’ll have large skilled teams for objective health assessment,” Paschenko said.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered to allocate more than 353 million rubles for medical examination of children in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.*i*ie
