LUGANSK, December 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Rescuers retrieved the body of the worker killed in the “Cherkassaya” mine accident, LPR Emergencies Ministry reported.
“On 6 December, the rescuers, during a debris-clearing operation at 11:55 p.m., located the place where the miner was trapped,” the press service said. “The body was recovered at 00:25 a.m. on 7 December and hoisted to the surface.”
A cave-in at the Cherkasskaya mine occurred at a depth of 680 metres during linings withdrawal at 9:40 p.m on 30 November. Two miners were trapped by rockfall. Rescuers evacuated to the surface one of them. Nikita Bobenko, a 49-old foreman was rushed to Lugansk Republican Clinical Hospital with backbone injury in medium severity condition.
