Lugansk People’s Republic schools will receive history textbooks by September 1 containing sections on the new regions, special military operation and its heroes, LPR Education and Science Minister Ivan Kusov said.   “All the schools have been provided with textbooks,” Kusov said at the conference which addressed the education sector’s preparedness for the 2023-2024 school year. ”The history textbooks to be supplied for Grades 10 and 11 on presidential instruction contain sections on the new regions and special military operation heroes.”   The LPR has 388 pre-school education facilities, 539 secondary schools, 26 vocational colleges, 98 supplementary education centers and seven universities, he said.   On August 7, Russian Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov presented a new history textbook for Grade 11. It features completely revised sections covering the period from the 1970s to the 2000s and includes chapters on events in 2014-2023 such as the special military operation in Ukraine.   The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.   Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation  on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance. *i*ie
