Lugansk People’s Republic government chairman Sergey Kozlov has ordered LPR government bodies to prepare a step-by-step program of the Republic socio-economic development until 2030, the Lugansk 24 State Television and Radio Company reported.
“Last weekend, Kozlov held a meeting with LPR government officials responsible for the Republic’s industry, economy and welfare, following a visit to Lugansk by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin,” Lugansk 24 said. “Khusnulin who discussed the LPR socio-economic development program until 2030 with the Republic’s leaders, called for drawing a step-by-step document.”
Sergey Kozlov briefed LPR ministers on the changes which Kusnullin had made to the program and elaborated on the measures towards their implementation.
“The housing section of the program must be more specific in addressing temporary housing, repairs of damaged housing, and building of new homes,” Kozlov said.
He named such priorities as decent wages, the opportunity to select high-paid jobs, access to social infrastructure facilities, quality transport infrastructure which will require modernization of the bus fleet, improvement of the regional road network and development of local business support program.
LPR Housing and Utilities Ministry Igor Zharkov said that Russian sponsor regions continued to help the Republic rebuild its infrastructure and that new housing construction might become the main driver of LPR development.
“We’re currently selecting large construction companies; we’ve mapped out new housing locations and set the timeframes,” Zharkov said.
LPR Acting Infrastructure and Transport Minister Vladimir Yevdokhin said that adjustment would be made to the LPR socio economic development program section on road construction and maintenance and passenger transportation.
