The Lugansk People’s Republic Interior Ministry district registration and examination divisions have begun to register vehicles and issue Russian driver’s licenses, the Ministry’s public relations office said.   “LPR traffic police divisions have resumed the provision of services to citizens. Car registration and issue of Russian driver’s licenses are available from December 16,” the Ministry said.   Earlier, the LPR Interior Ministry suspended the operation of traffic police registration and examination units.   Residents of the new Russian regions have to replace the license plates issued by authorities of the Donbass Republics and Ukraine by January 1, 2026.  The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered to assign regional code 81 to license plates of the vehicles registered in the Lugansk People’s Republic.   The Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referenda. *i*ie
