Lugansk Refrigeration Plant (Luganskkholod) plans a considerable increase in production next year due to the expansion into new markets, said company director Dmitry Klenov.
“Donbass residents have long known and enjoyed our products. We want to sell our ice cream across the whole Russia,” Klenov said. “<...> we’ve doubled production as of today, and plan a two- to three-fold increase next year as we’re entering a new market.”
The company was one of the first in the LPR to introduce an innovative labelling system and register in the Mercury federal veterinary information system.
Luganskkholod made an appearance at the Petersburg economic forum in June where it signed new contracts.
In the middle of June, the company said it would supply its ice cream to the Rostov region. Plans are in place to deliver products to Crimea, Central Russia and new Russian regions. Lugansk ice-crime is already available in Melitopol.
President Vladimir Putin saw Luganskkholod’s products at a forum of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, expressing confidence that they would find a niche on the Russian market.
