The Lugansk State Pedagogical University is ready to provide training to students from Africa, University Rector Zhanna Marfina told the Lugansk Media Center.
President Vladimir Putin said at the Russian-African summit in St Petersburg that Russian teacher’s training universities planned to admit more students from African countries.
“We’re ready to admit students from African countries; we have this experience,” Marfina said. “For example, Nigerian students studied at our university; we had a good practice in working with this region, so they are welcome.”
She said that the university had trained many students from Asian countries as well.
African students at the Lugansk University were studying for creative and teaching professions including Russian teacher jobs. The Natural Sciences Department that trains chemists, geologists and geographers was particularly popular with them. *i*ie
