Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has called for renewing the infrastructure of more than 50 universities and research organizations in the new regions.
“It’s not just formal integration in Russia’s science and education space: more than 50 universities and research centers have to renew their Infrastructure,” RIA Novosti quoted Medevedev as saying at a session of the presidential Council for Science and Education. 
*** Russian Education and Science Minister Valery Falkov said that the integration of the new regions’ universities in Russia’s education space would be largely completed in 2023.   Higher education centers in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions offered 37,000 government-funded places this year.*i
