The Social Fund Department for the Lugansk People’s Republic has approved monthly benefits for 91,574 children in 65,890 families in the region.
The Fund also pays allowances to 1,859 expectant mothers who live in the Lugansk People’s Republic and have Russian citizenship, it said in a press release.
As of August 9, 2023, the Social Fund Department for the LPR had approved monthly benefits for 80,000 LPR children.
The maternity capital subsidy has been available in the LPR since January 1, 2023. At present, it is worth 586,900 rubles for first child and 775,600 rubles for second child if the family did not claim the subsidy for the firstborn.
The money can be used for improving housing condition, child’s education, social rehabilitation for children with disabilities or monthly payments for toddlers.*i
