The 197th humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered 146 tons of food and 46 tons of construction materials to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
“On September 19, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the press service said. “Fifteen EMERCOM trucks have brought 146 tons of foodstuffs and 46 tons of construction materials.”
On September 17, EMERCOM’s 196th convoy delivered 20 tons of bottled water to Lugansk.
Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014. Over eight years, it has sent more than 150,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the Donbass Republics.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The Donbass peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
