The Russian truck-make KamAZ has opened its maintenance center in Lugansk, the first in the new regions.
Lugansk People’s Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik and KamAZ Director General Sergey Kogogin took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the center in Moldodyozhnaya Street.
“A Kamaz truck is known as a quality product, quite loyal in the pricing policy. It is a competitive counterpart of products produced in Europe,” Pasechnik said.
The center will sell nearly all Kamaz products, as well as UAZ, GAZel and Ural vehicles and spare parts, and service vehicles including passenger cars. The Business Lines logistics center will be launched on the Center’s premises in the near future.
The launching of the KamAZ center will accelerate the LPR’s integration in the Russian economy, the LPR leader said.
“It’s the first center in the new territories. Producing a vehicle is only part of the job done. A modern service center is essential for its operation. Our task is to build service centers in all the territories,” the KamAZ director general said.
The investments in the project reached more than 160 million rubles.
The first customers of the Center from the Donbass Republics received the key to ten KamAZ vehicles. People’ Front activists will pass 60 tons of roofing materials from KamAZ workers to the towns of Rubezhnoye, Lisichansk and Lugansk as humanitarian aid.*i*sb
