Filiponenko killed in terrorist attack, Investigative Committee says

Russia’s Investigative Committee  (SK) has filed a criminal case over the car bomb death of Lugansk People’s Republic lawmaker Mikhail Filiponenko saying it was an act of terror, the SK press service said on Telegram messenger.

Filiponenko was killed in a car explosion in Lugansk on Tuesday morning.

Criminal proceedings were opened over an act of terror and trafficking in explosives; experts from the regional department and forensic center are examining the lawmaker’s car and the scene of crime, the SK said.*i
