The Department of the Social Fund of Russia for the Lugansk People’s Republic has granted monthly allowances under Russian laws to the first 3,104 LPR residents, the SFR branch said on Telegram.   “Monthly payments have been transferred to 3,100 LPR residents in the first few weeks of the operation of the laws on the integration of the new regions in the Russian welfare system,” the SRF said.   Monthly allowances are granted to people with disabilities, war veterans, their families and some other groups of citizens eligible to state support measures.   The SFR has transferred 3.9 million rubles worth of allowances to recipients in the Republic.   Under the Russian law, allowances for people with disabilities can be granted proactively or upon request.  In the proactive procedure, the recipient only needs to give their formal consent.   Benefits can be requested at SFR offices across the LPR or in any Russian region. The right to monthly payments is given to those who have shown the proof of residence in the LPR.               Earlier, the Social Fund of Russia reported that it had transferred the first monthly allowances to residents of new regions. ***           On February 17, President Vladimir Putin signed a number of documents on the integration of the new regions in the Russian legal environment, which addressed social insurance, pensions, medical services, medicines and social benefits.    The Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referenda.*i*v
