Two people were killed in a car accident outside Roskoshoye as a speeding passenger vehicle crashed into concrete blocks, the Ministry of emergencies said.
A Lada Priora was speeding along the Lutugino-Lugansk highway, the driver lost control of the vehicle crashing it into a concrete barrier. The car subsequently rebounded off the obstacle and hit another vehicle, VAZ-2109.
The driver and a passenger in the car that caused the accident remained blocked inside, until rescue teams arrived with entrenching tool to open the vehicle.
Medics who arrived at the scene pronounced the driver and the passenger, a 62-year-old man and his 63-year-old wife, dead.
The driver and passengers of the VAZ-2109 were unharmed. *t
