The death toll from Kiev forces’ strike at the town of Stakhanov in the Lugansk People’s Republic has risen to 22, the LPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
Ukrainian forces fired Uragan” multiple rocket launchers at Stakhanov at 05:10 on Thursday. Earlier reports said that the strike had killed 15 people and wounded another ten. The attack also left 3,500 customers without electricity.
“Twenty-two people were killed and four were wounded in the strike at the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, and nine houses and six infrastructure facilities in Stakhanov were damaged or destroyed,” the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
