Three civilians have been wounded in a Ukrainian army artillery attack on the town of Stakhanov in the Lugansk People's Republic, local authorities said in a post on Telegram.
“Kiev forces shelled Stakhanov at 14:50 in the second attack on Tuesday wounding three civilians,” the Town Hall said. “They were rushed to the Stakhanov General Hospital.”
Earlier, Stakhanov officials urged the residents not to go outside unless necessary.
On Tuesday, Kiev artillery also damaged shops of the Stakhanov rail car manufacturing plant.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum. *i*ie
