The outcome of the meeting of Ukrainian and US presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden confirm Kiev's unwillingness to fulfill the Minsk Agreements, said LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik.
The meeting took place on September 1 in Washington. A joint statement was issued afterwards stipulating the continuation of cooperation in the military sphere.
"The results are just another confirmation of Kiev's unwillingness to fulfill the Minsk Agreements. The US intends to strengthen their strategic partnership with Ukraine with the primary goal of cooperation in the security and defense sphere," Pasechnik said.
He said that the "meaning of the entire US-Ukraine dialog is war".
Pasechnik pointed out that the joint statement first mentions new military agreements, and only after that refers to democracy, justice and human rights.
"It turns out that the war in Donbass is above all both for Kiev and Washington."
Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The document provides for ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line. *t*r
