A woman has been killed in a Ukrainian army strike at the town of Stakhanov in the Lugansk People's Republic, local administration officials said.
“Ukrainian forces shelled the town at 11:25 damaging an apartment building,” an official from Town Hall’s Internal Policy Department said. “A woman has been killed; it’s preliminary information.”
Debris removal is underway; another two women suffered concussion and shrapnel wounds, he added.
“Rescuers, ambulance personnel, police and Stakhanov mayor (Sergey Zhevlakov) are working at the scene. The mayor ordered utility companies to help people with boarding up the broken windows,” the official said.
