Representatives of the inter-departmental working group on the search for burial sites of Ukrainian aggression victims, their identification and perpetuation of their memory, retrieved remains of 40 people from graves in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the working group reported.

“The remains of 40 LPR civilians killed as a result of Ukrainian aggressions were retrieved in the first 20 days of the work (starting August 11),” the report said.

The search was conducted in the Slavyanoserbsk district and Pervomaisk.

After identification, the remains will be handed over to relatives or re-buried; all the procedures and commemorative events will be observed. “The gathered information will be included in the body of evidence of Ukraine’s crimes against the Donbass people and passed to international bodies for holding Ukrainian criminals responsible,” the working group said.
