500 kilometers of roads repaired in LPR last year
Road builders repaired more than 500 kilometers of roads in the Lugansk People’s Republic last year as part of a government program, the LPR Infrastructure and Transport Ministry reported.
In 2022, the Republic carried out repairs on a total of 505.8 kilometers of roads. “LPR contractor organizations repaired 86.9 kilometers of roads under the program to restore road infrastructure,” Russia’s TASS news agency said citing the Ministry’s press service.
Assistance in repairing 200.8 kilometers of LPR roads was provided by contractor organizations from Moscow, the Altai and Stavropol Territories, the Republics of Komi and Bashkortostan, and the Ulyanovsk, Tambov, Voronezh, Volgograd, Vologda and Tyumen regions.
The Transport Ministry said that special attention had been paid to the roads linking the LPR with the Rostov region and the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the roads between Rovenki and Sverdlovsk.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities reported that specialists had repaired 26 roads in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
