Russian armed forces have built strong defense lines in the Kremennaya area, commander of the volunteer Sarmat Cossack group of the Astrakhan region Mikhail Zaplavnov told reporters.
Zaplavnov who participates in Donbass combat missions, has been tasked by the Astrakhan region governor to lead a humanitarian operation in the sponsored Kremennaya district. He said that according to the information from the fighters stationed in the area, the enemy would not be able to advance.
“The situation in Kremennaya is stable. <...> The frontline keeps shifting back and forth in some areas. In general, the situation has improved from the past two or three months. It has become quieter, but the Kremennaya district is not calm yet.<...> reliable defenses have been built. There are no chances to break through,” he said in response to a Lugansk Media Center question.   Kiev forces continue to use armaments supplied by the West, including heavy equipment. “They burn like all other tanks; the vaunted western models are not invulnerable to our weapons,” Zaplavnov said.*i
