Construction workers have rebuilt 250 schools in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities reported.
“The Construction Ministry coordinated the work to create modern education environment in the new regions which had acceded to the Russian Federation,” the report said. Construction workers from across the country are repairing and launching new education facilities. As of now, 250 schools have been rebuilt in the Donbass Republics and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.”
In Perevalsk, a company from Russia’s Orenburg region completed repairs on the large arts school ahead of schedule. “Specialists painted the frontage and insulated and plastered the walls. The school has some 600 pupils,” the Ministry said.
Earlier, the Ministry said that construction workers had repaired 46 kindergartens in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin made a working trop to the LPR in late December to assess the rebuilding of social infrastructure and housing.
The Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referenda.*i*ie
