The death toll from the Kiev artillery strike at Chervony Prapor rose to six as the fifth rescuer died of his wounds, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.   Ukrainian forces fired six high mobility artillery rocket system missiles at the settlement at 01:00 on October 20. At 10:00, they shelled Chervony Prapor again expending two HIMARS missiles. Four LPR Emergencies Ministry personnel were killed and another nine people were wounded in the second strike.   “An LPR Emergencies Ministry employee died of fatal wounds in the Bryanka Hospital IT ward yesterday. He took part in a debris clearing operation in the Chervony Prapor settlement, Perevalsk district,” the press service said.   The heavily wounded senior firefighter/rescuer Andrey Petruk, 25, and other victims of the shelling were rushed to the nearest hospital.   “Medics were fighting for his life till late evening, but despite their efforts the young rescuer died without regaining consciousness.  We express heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of our colleagues killed by Ukrainian gunmen,” the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.   Kiev forces shelled the LPR four times on October 20. The enemy delivered strikes at the Chervony Prapor, Lisichansk and Bryanka settlements. The JCCC said that rescuers and emergency services personnel were killed in Chervony Prapor. In Bryanka, a civilian was killed and another was wounded, and five homes, three shops and a petrol station were damaged.   The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.   The Lugansk People’s Republic joined Russia on September 30, 2022, based on the results of the unification referendum.*i*ie
