Document checks on the administrative border between Donbass and the Rostov region will run in an accelerated mode, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“On instructions from the president, a government commission met over response to the Crimean Bridge emergency,” Khusnullin said on a video received by the Lugansk Media Center. “A number of decisions have been made on organizing transit through the new territories: accelerated border crossing, without check, accelerated document check at the entrance to the Rostov region and the possibility of round-the-clock traffic for which additional security measures will be taken.”
Ferries are ready for the transportation of passengers and cars, and the railway part of the bridge provides cargo and passenger transportation. The deadlines for repairs of the damaged bridge sections will be announced by the evening following construction workers’ inspection, he said.
The Commission will fly to the scene to make the necessary managerial decisions after assessment and inspection of the scene of the incident,” Khusnullin said.
