Families of 86 percent of schoolchildren in the Lugansk People’s Republic have already submitted their applications for 10,000-ruble lumpsum benefits, the LPR government press service reported citing the Education and Science Ministry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian government to provide 10,000-ruble payments to families with children aged 6 to 18 who will go to schools in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, and the Zaporozhye, Kharkov and Kherson regions before September 15. The benefits have to be paid by October 1.
“As of September 6, LPR schools have collected 88,623 applications for lumpsum payments for 97,419 schoolchildren, which makes up 86 percent of all pupils,” the government press service said.
LPR deputy government chairperson Anna Todorova said that the LPR schools had opened doors to 114,000 children this year.
Sergey Kiriyenko, first deputy head of the administration of the Russian president said at a forum in Lugansk that the LPR and Russian leadership would build a system to pay benefits to the families of LPR schoolchildren.*i*ie
