Foreign and Ukrainian instructors trained children in a camp in the Severdonetsk area as saboteurs and gunnery spotters, the Lugansk People’s Republic 2nd Army Corps press service said citing an LPR security service officer.
“The “Lesnaya Skazka” camp in the Purdovka settlement of the Severodonetsk district was a venue for “military and patriotic upbringing” of children and “military-patriotic games” led by Ukrainian as well as foreign instructors who left some foreign weapons behind,” a security officer said. “The children in the age groups 12-14 and 16-18 had foreign firearms courses as Ukrainian Education Ministry programs envisioned training with NATO weapons.”
“We can see that they observed precautions in handling hazardous items here; apparently the kids were trained in sabotage and reconnaissance,” she added.
Among other items found at the camp were print publications inciting to hatred of Russia and its residents, gun boots, topographic maps showing the location of military units etc. LPR security officers found in one of the classrooms a suicide bomber’s belt dummy for training children to work with improvised explosive devices.
“A demolition instructor worked here; children were taught bombing skills at the age of 12. They were drilled in closing this or that circuit to blast this or that thing,” the security officer said.
The camp had physical fitness ground that looked like a small copy of the obstacle line of the Azov regiment (recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization).
“The program of the “Sokil” (Dzhura) game (of the Ukrainian Education Ministry) which was found on the camp premises specifically mentions the obstacle line. The final stage of the program for the selected children envisions field operations as members of small sabotage and reconnaissance units,” the officer said.
LPR security officers recently detained a girl who had taken the “Sokil” (Dzhura) training course in the Severodonetsk camp and passed information to the enemy on the movement of Russian military hardware.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
Severodonetsk was liberated from Ukrainian forces in July 2022.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
