A group of Russian companies has shown an interest in building a plant in the Lugansk People’s Republic to produce polyethylene pipes using modern technology, said LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik.

The group brings together some 20 Russian enterprises working in five different fields,Pasechnik wrote on his Telegram channel. They have engaged in integrated specialized construction fore more than 15 years.

“We discussed prospects for building a polymer products plant in our Republic at today’s meeting with the directors of the companies,” he said adding that the LPR needed these products.

The Republic, together with sponsor regions, is modernizing its worn-out infrastructure. Gas, heat and electricity supply networks have to be replaced. “I’m confident that the company will be successful and that it will take its niche in the region’s production sector,” the LPR leader said.

He ordered LPR Prime Minister Sergei Kozlov to provide maximum support to the producers to be able to launch plant construction as soon as possible.

“The Republic is interested in adding modern high-tech companies to the industrial sector and creating new job, which is the key to effective economic development and improvement of citizens’ welfare,” Pasechnik said. *i*sb
