A hospital, homes and a gas pipe have been damaged by a Kiev army artillery strike at Lisichansk; there have been no casualties, Town Hall officials said in a post on Telegram.
Ukrainian forces fired three 155mm artillery rounds at Lisichansk at 15:20 on Sunday.
“Ukrainian terrorists delivered a strike targeting the Lisichansk general hospital and neighboring homes,” the Town Hall said. “A shell hit the hospital building puncturing the roof.”
“It’s an absolutely civil area; there’s no military here. It’s a “miracle” that nobody was hurt,” Lisichansk officials said.
Damage was caused to the gas pipe and frontages and windows of homes in the residential area.
“The enemy delivered a strike at the hospital; it’s a war crime which will not remain unpunished,” Lisichansk acting mayor Andrey Skory said.
Assistance will be provided to the residents whose homes were damaged in the attack. Repairs of the damaged gas pipe are underway, he said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
