LPR lawmakers approve regional budget 2023
The Lugansk People’s Republic parliament has approved the regional budget for the next year at the plenary session on Friday.
Forty-two deputies also considered and unanimously approved the LPR budgeting law.
“The budget sets next year expenditure at 127.464 billion rubles and revenue at 19.136 billion rubles,” LPR Finance Minister Yevgeny Manuilov said.
Earlier on Friday, the LPR lawmakers considered and adopted the new Constitution of the Republic. The decision was made in connection with the LPR accession to the Russian Federation. The adoption of the new Fundamental Law of the Republic was supported by 43 deputies present at the session.
The Russian government set the budget procedure for the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions earlier this year.
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
