LPR militia demines seven hectares in Belovodsk district over 24 hours
Lugansk People’s Republic engineers have demined more than seven hectares of territory next to the Gorodische and Kreidyanoye villages in the Belovodsk district over the past 24 hours, LPR People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said.
“LPR militia engineer units continue mine clearance in the Republic,” Filiponenko said. “On November 17, they cleared more than seven hectares of territory of the explosive hazards left by Ukrainian nationalists in the Gorodische and Kreidyanoye settlement areas.”
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
