Road construction teams have laid asphalt on 175 of 191 kilometers of roads in the Lugansk People’s Republic meeting 92 percent of the 2023 target, the Russian Highways state company (Avtodor) told the Lugansk Media Center.
“The repairs on the road from the LPR capital to Stanitsa Luganskaya are nearing completion,” the company said. “Avtodor specialists are working round-the-clock on the Orekhovo-Lugansk, Schastye-Lugansk, Pervomaisk-Mikhailovka and Lugansk - Antratsit District roads.
More than 700 people and 400 pieces of equipment are involved the rebuilding of LPR road networks.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mara Khusnullin earlier said that some 180 kilometers of roads and 14 highway structures would be restored in the LPR by yearend.
LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said on August 7 that road repairs in the Republic were 90 percent complete. *i*ie
