Lugansk People’s Republic medics, thanks to the assistance of specialists from other Russian regions and the experience they’re gaining in the course of the special military operation, will be able to be in the lead in a few years, said LPR Youth Parliament speaker Andrey Samoilov in comments on President Vladimir Putin’s Direct Line question and answer session with Russian citizens, combined with a big press conference.
“The LPR’s healthcare sector has been developing at a fantastic rate since we became a constituent entity of the Russian Federation,” Samoilov said. “The specialists who come to the LPR to work in military hospitals and in- and out-patient clinics are providing vigorous assistance.”
LPR medics who treat both wounded servicemen and civilians are gaining tremendous experience as the special military operation goes on. “Our doctors will be in the vanguard in several years providing quality medical services,” he said.
The youth leader said that many graduates of the St Luke Lugansk State Medical University choose to work in military hospitals and in-patient clinics too.
Samoilov also said that the LPR was getting quality technical assistance. He noted the construction of a multi-functional government services center and the launching of medical and obstetrical stations in remote settlements.
The Zemskyy (County) Doctor program, which the president mentioned, is ongoing. Young specialists who work at medical and obstetrical stations can get a mortgage loan and preferences; this program is now applied in the LPR, he said.*i
